The OBC Certificate is the caste or category certificate given to applicants who belong to underprivileged classes. The National Commission for Backward Classes issues the certificate (NCBC). A crucial part of the candidates' lives is played by the certificate.
The Indian government provides the OBC certificate's format. In order to obtain the necessary certificate, extra documents must be supplied with the application.
OBC certifications come in two different varieties:
OBC A (Non-creamy Layer)
OBC B (Creamy Layer)
OBC A (Non-creamy Layer) certificates are available to Indian nationals who are deemed to be less educated and less affluent than OBC B.
OBC B (Creamy Layer) certificates are given to Indian individuals who are deemed to be wealthier and more educated than OBC A.
If a candidate falls within the creamy layer or the non-creamy layer, they must always have an OBC certificate in order to get benefits. The Indian government has provided numerous perks for jobs and education for the underprivileged. In colleges and schools, they are eligible for admission under reserved categories. Additionally, they will qualify for reserved categories for government employment, scholarships, subsidies, and other programmes. These perks are not available to candidates who fall within the General category.
