To achieve the goal of the Digital India Program, states are now working to digitise their land records. State land records are now accessible online. Through their official e-Services website, Tamil Nadu's Patta Chitta documents, which are their land records, are also accessible online.
A potential buyer or banker may occasionally seek a copy of the Patta Chitta that has been validated by the relevant taluka office as being included in the Patta and Chitta. The owner of the property may do so by contacting the relevant taluka office or village administrative officer.
